You feel cramped on your Digital 1/24° track (for D132 or D124 car) when there are many of you on the track, this accessory is made for you.
As a reminder, Digital 1/24° cars can race with up to 4 vehicles on the track and Digital 1/32° cars up to 6. So on a 2-lane track, this can turn into a traffic jam. So as on the roads, when there is a traffic jam, the solution is to increase the number of lanes.
The accessory reference 20030370 from Carrera allows you to add 2 additional lanes to your starting line.
You can thus make a circuit entirely with 4 tracks but also pass a part of your circuit to two tracks by using the digital chicanes references 20030351 and 20030350 that we will have the opportunity to test soon but you can find the article which presents the different possibilities of these chicanes here.
The starting extension rail is like the power rail but instead of having the power supply, it has Unit Adapter connectors to connect to the initial starting line.
Setup
It’s very simple, just connect the extension rail to the base starting line. I recommend using the red track connection clips to ensure a good assembly.
Possibilities
Now it’s your turn to start with 4 cars lined up on the track, or two lines of 3 cars.
4 lanes is not enough? No problem, you can use two Multistart lanes to have 6 lanes.
What? you want more, let’s be crazy, use a third accessory to go up to 8 lanes. Be careful Carrera sets the limit at 8. But the interest of so many lanes remains limited.
In Digital 132, the maximum number of cars on the track is 6 players, a ghost car and the pace car. The whole point of Digital is to be able to drive several on the same lanes and change lanes strategically to overtake or not be overtaken. Finding yourself in digital, each on their own lane, is like finding yourself in Evolution mode (Analog). So four lanes, yes, beyond that, I find it less justified, but if you want, you can.
