GO contoller limiter

Many of us play with our children, and sometimes they are very young and then we often have the problem that the car they control goes off the track too regularly. It is not easy for the youngest to dose. They like to go fast and only know two positions. Do not advance and at full power.

So like many, I looked at what solutions were possible. We all necessarily thought of putting a shim to limit the travel of the push button.

In 2017, I had observed a small accessory that was sold with the Carrera GO boxes in America. On a test video of a GO box we can see the accessory very well.

After seeing this, I tried to contact Carrera to get more information about this accessory, but I was unable to get any.

A few days ago on thingiverse, I saw a small equivalent limitation system appear that we will now be able to print.

What is good about the thingiverse version is that 2 sizes are offered for the thickness (6mm and 9mm). In addition, with 3D printing software, it is possible to modify the size of the object to be printed, on the 3 axes but also on only one, you can thus adjust the height by modifying the coefficient of the z axis. Depending on the track, the speed of the car or the age of the child, you can adjust the maximum speed.

I tested it and it works very well, nothing to say. The piston always slides perfectly. You just need to have 2 of each size in a small corner to use them when the time comes.
