The end of Digital 143

That’s it for the Digital 143 (D143) range. Appeared in 2008, this range allowed 3 players to play on a double-track GO track. A specific power rail but the same rails as the GO range. And to ensure overtaking, switches to change tracks. Three types of switches were offered. Towards the right track, towards the left track and one that allowed both.

Among the flagship elements of the range we can mention the wireless controllers that only arrived in the GO range much later.
We can also mention the rev counter that displayed the information for each car.

While in 2020 the catalog still displayed 3 boxes and accessories, 2021 is the beginning of an end.

Indeed, the 2021 catalog does not display any boxes on its pages. There is still the accessories section alongside those of the GO range.

In 2022, the Digital 143 no longer shows any sign of life in the 2022 catalog, but boxes and accessories are still present on the website. The hope of seeing a return persists.

2023 no return to the catalog, a Digital range that is dwindling on the Internet

In 2024, the Carrera website no longer displays any Digital 143 references. We can therefore consider the range completely abandoned by Carrera.

The 2025 novelties will be unveiled in a few days, at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, but it would be very, very surprising if the D143 returned.

The arrival in 2016 of the GO+ range destabilized the balance between the two distinct GO and D143 ranges. The GO+ was not as successful as expected and probably lacked finishing. In 2024 no box set is presented in the catalog, and it is likely that the GO+ will suffer the same fate as the D143.
