The arrival of the packs raises the question of what to buy when you already have a basic box. Additional vehicles, an expansion pack like this one or a complete box. A little further on we will analyze this to help you make your choice.

Personally, I would have proposed this NASCAR pack with 4 R1 Relevés curve elements (4x 45 °) or 180 ° because the raised turns are a characteristic of the circuits of the discipline. Especially since 4 straight lines are sold 17.99×2 = 35.98 € as accessories and 180 ° raised only costs 24.49 €.

71609 – Extension Pack – Super Hump

A good idea this speed bump, on the other hand it will only be for people who want the speed bump, there is no vehicle in this pack. Its only interest is the price. The Speed ​​bump / bridge reference 61649, is displayed at the price of € 36.49 on the Carrera site, which is more expensive than this pack.

71610 – Extension Pack – Mega

As the visual shows, this pack will include:

• A swing / seesaw
• 7 straight rails of 342mm
• 2 narrowing rails of 228mm

Here is a pack provided but without a vehicle. The surprise is the swing reference 61659 displayed at €42.49. It is a complicated accessory to pass. It slows down or even stops so that the section of road tilts and finally starts again. When you do a circuit lap in a few seconds, it breaks the rhythm too often.

If we put this accessory aside. Let’s imagine that it is not present in the box, we forget it.
Seven straight lines correspond to the price of 3.5×17.99€ = €62.96 So this kit is already cheaper than if you bought straight lines.
In addition, you have 2 narrowing rails reference 61610 worth €24.49

Overall, even if some of the elements included in the pack do not interest you, it is still a very good deal.

These packs are good deals, it’s even worth wondering if they won’t simply replace some accessories sold individually given the price. I think these packs will revive the distribution of accessories.

The Complete Box Set

The complete NASCAR set with the 2 cars and a complete track costs €95.99.

If I take all the contents of the set and calculate the unit price of each element to the price of the individual accessory, then compare that price to the price of the set, I can then calculate the percentage that each element represents in the price of the set. And if I reduce that percentage to the price of the set, I can define the price of each element in the set.
