1/24° Track

If you want to test the range above and enjoy other sensations, you can try the 1/32° range and in particular the digital version which opens up new possibilities.

Find here tips, advice for Carrera Digital 1/32 circuits (D132). Much of this information is valid for the D124, many of whose elements are compatible because only the size of the cars changes and elements related to the size)

Be aware that you will need a little more space (or even a lot more) than for the 1/43 scale of the GO.

The budget is not the same, it will be increased. But there are many new features.

  • up to 6 cars simultaneously on the track (even in simple 2 lanes)
  • top speed setting
  • brake setting (inertia of the car)
  • fuel management
  • lane change
  • ghost car

The basic set costs between €220 (with 2 cars) and €270 (with 3 cars). The advantage of digital is obviously the fact of being able to drive with more than 2 cars, so I recommend going straight to a 3-car set.

Cars :

With a very nice finish, some vehicles (many to tell the truth) have lighting that you can activate or not.

When braking, the rear lights come on, it is even more visible when you do not activate the lights that are permanently on. It is the kind of small details that create the atmosphere!

If you turn on the headlights, the rear lights will be on but not at their maximum, this means that when braking, the intensity of the rear lights will be higher and we will see the effect of braking even with the headlights on.

Top speed configuration

It is possible to configure the top speed of the vehicles, for all or some vehicles on the track.

Very practical for young players, my 5-year-old son can play at minimum speed. The minimum speed is well set and we don’t have the impression of having turtles on the track.

On the other hand, for the highest speed you have to have a long straight line if you want to be able to press the controller fully for more than a quarter of a second. The car rushes, it’s impressive.

Consequence on driving untested

There are sections of track that allow cars to change lanes. I’m not talking about the X-shaped rail that’s in the Carrera Go range, but about a system that changes lanes on demand (by pressing the trigger on the controller), like the Digital 143 range.

There are several types of rails for changing lanes

  • ref. 20030347 : Digital 124/132 Double Lane Change Right
  • ref. 20030345 : Digital 124/132 Lane Change Right
  • ref. 20030343 : Digital 132 Lane Change Left

Runway edge barriers

The trackside barriers are of a much better quality and design than the Carrera GO range.

Higher and more rigid with solid supports and especially a support adapted to the beginning and end of the barrier. All this makes them aesthetically beautiful and effective barriers.

Stand

This is the essential accessory to feel the atmosphere of the race with the strategy of stopping.

You must not forget to stop and make sure that the stand is not occupied. And you must not miss your stop and stop after the refueling zone, otherwise, it’s off again for a lap!

So when you manage the fuel, you must monitor your fuel level on the application, the small dashboard on the edge of the post, or check if your headlights are flashing (level at zero).
